Former Employee - Picker/Packer says

"Management is disgusting. The favoritism is absolutely ridiculous you can pick them out your first day. Managers constantly choose people to pick on and upper management lets them do whatever they want. The "packing leads"/wannabe manager, they are just nasty and have no people skills. Also you never know what time you'll get off work, rarely earlier than 10."

Former Employee - Buyer says

"There is no growth potential. If you have career advancement objectives this is not the place to pursue those. Very limited in lateral movement as well."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Very flat organization that does not provide a career path for individuals to grow with the company. The primary owner's family are warranted excessive privileges that the general employees do not have. Executive management fight between themselves in front of employees often forcing them to take sides. Management makes it clear that an employee is there to do a job function and ideas are often diminished by the input of antiquated business techniques that rarely work today."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Executive management team is made up of second stringers that would not be in management roles with similar organizations and practice outdated practices. There is a huge discrepancy in pay from the executive team and everyone else The culture is stale with high demands made on its employees and few tools to get the job done Sales team is re-active yet take all the credit for sales that are made within the Business Development Team. Vendor headcount is not fully used on BDM headcount and goes to fund other things not related to that vendor... Unethical behavior related to rebates"

picker (Former Employee) says

"wake up at 8 am and go to work. i start at 9 am and i get signed into my gear and go picking in the warehouse. i worked in the heaviest region and had to pick 100 orders a hour, which is hard to do with a bunch of heavy product. did that till 8 pm and bathroom breaks you cant take really at all because they think your slacking and not doing you job, or taking your full 15 min break was to long so your break is actually 10 min. the most enjoyable part was the short talks with other employeeshour luncheshours, pay"

Bather/Groomer (Current Employee) says

"Large turnover rate....Terrible people skills ... attitudes everywhere... terrible vibe... Pay is not worth it... Set in their own ways... stay away from company not good ....pick another vet"

Return Material Assistant/Returns/Credits/ Finance (Former Employee) says

"office was located in a hot warehouse in the Summer and cold in the Winter. my job went unnoticed and I was never treated as part of the company because my job did not contribute to the success of the growth of the Company I issued credits and refunds for product our Customers were not happy with. always felt like an outsider and unappreciatedflexible schedule"

Warehouse worker (Former Employee) says

"Stay away if you are not a part of the friends and family program. Hard work will get you no where with these people. I spent years watching management walk up to workers on payday and tell them they were no longer needed and no reason was provided only the statement that Bluestar is an at will employer. I can find 10 people right now that will back me up on this. Too many alcoholics, we once had beer on tap in the warehouse for weeks!!!Getting a paycheckCoulture, Management, Disrespectful account Managers."

HVAC SITE ENGINEER (Former Employee) says

"Blue Star is India's largest central airconditioning company with an annual turnover of ₹3000 crores, a network of 32 offices, 5 modern manufacturing facilities, over 2000 dealers and around 2500 employees. It fulfils the airconditioning needs of a large number of corporate, commercial and residential customers and has also established leadership in the field of commercial refrigeration."

"Bluestar had alot of mandatory overtime hours 12-14 hours a day didn't offer any overtime breaks, the lead kept harassing and nothing was done about it. She was very rude and disrespectful 😠"

Project Designer (Former Employee) says

"You start out great then you realize there is a lot of dysfunction here. The pay is low for the industry but what they demand is high. If at all possible find somewhere else to work."

Picker / Equipment Operator (Former Employee) says

"Someting is obviously wrong when a company forces its employees to sometimes work 15 hours a day when the job is advertised as "8 hour shift with occasional overtime". Granted most days aren't 15 hours but the week will look something like this. 13, 12, 12, 12, 11. This company turns a blind eye to most issues as long as their product gets out. No concern for your life outside of work"

caller (Former Employee) says

"By working at this company blue star it is a good process to learn English and how to behave on floor it thought me and how to dress in company and how to talk fluent"

Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) says

"As far as management goes, it was ok. I basically had 3 bosses and 2 of them were cool and the head boss was indifferent to say the least. The job had good pay (I was making about $500 a week), but the hours were ridiculous (11 hours on a normal day and 14+ during Q3, 5 days a week) and they would get very angry if you tried to adjust your schedule in any way. The system they use to rate how well employees are working is completely unfair and is based on where you get placed in the warehouse. For example, they count how many items you pick per hour and if you're in a region with lots of small parts, you're good to go, but if you're in a region with mainly 45-80lbs printers you're pretty much screwed on your numbers even though you'll be working twice as hard. Besides the pay, the only other pro used to be that you could listen to music while working, but they took that away because of a very stupid situation, so now you just have to work in silence while talking/listening to a very annoying headset computer. Its enough to drive anyone insane.Pay, job is simple to understand, and music (if they bring it back).Hard work thats judged unfairly, long inflexible hours, working in silence, no way to advance in company."

Business Development Manager (Former Employee) says

"Good stepping stone to better opportunity outside of company. Little room for advancement within departments. Required to travel for work, but do not get time back for personal time. One time a year, they host a big conference and you are expected to work 10-14 days straight with no days off.small companylack of flexibility in work/life balance"

Business Development Manager (Former Employee) says

"Impossible to move up in this company. And if you make the wrong person upset or make them look bad, they will force you out. It is Highschool, except you are in your 30's.TravelAmount of work is not worth the money"

Sorter (Former Employee) says

"Enjoy at work with my workmates work together as a team Learn how to be patient at work Learn how to use time management Can perform well in the work station"

Accounts Receivable Manager (Current Employee) says

"Busy, growing company. I have learned to use Oracle, Can read customer financials with better understanding. You are busy from the time you come in until the time you leave which makes the days pass quickly.Executive Team personable, and supportiveHeath care on the expensive side"
